Guest guest
On the netrition website, under " very low carb " foods, I see alot of products with a higher carb count, but due to fiber content which they subtract from the carb count, it has a low " net " or " usable " carb value. What do you all think about this? Do these foods kick off carb cravings? Are they safe to eat when doing " low carb " ? I purchased some " low carb " cereal which has the following content: Total Carbs 15g** (net carbs 3) Dietary Fiber 12g Protein 14g ** ECC (omits carbohydrates that do not exert an effect on blood sugar and insulin such as fiber. Carbsense Hot Cereal is rich in fiber, so the Ecc is 15 (total carbs) minus 12 (fiber) equals 3. Opinions? Do you think this is an OK food to eat during my high protein carb detox? Or do even fiber carbs cause problems? BTW, on day 3 of detox, down 4 pounds, back in my size 8's. Whoopee! Thanks,
