Ghrelin, the hunger hormone

But since we don't have famine conditions anymore, this outdated mechanism

has made us overweight. Wonder how many billion years of evolution it'll take

before this hormone is bred out of us? I'm putting my money into stock of the

first co that comes up with a ghrelin-killer.

Last week there were some messages about the hormone produced in the

stomach that causes hunger, and therefore, eating. there is a good

article explaining it and current research at

Thanks for posting the url to that good article! Wow, if they could find

the balance of those two in pill forms, that would treat obesity! Like they

do thyroid levels, sugar, and other things! N.
