My morbid obesity almost killed me by my 41st birthday. I have been told without wls, I would be dead by now. So how can someone justify my life ending some 30 years early. The risk of obesity, in my ever so humble opinion, is NOT exaggerated. There are too many young people out there dyeing from this disease. A friend of mine has lost 2 or 3 siblings who were in there 40's due to this disease. It really is sad when people who are not obese do not understand that. I am by no means skinny. But I am healthier then I was when I had the surgery. Lori Owen - Denton, Texas CHF 4/14/01 479 lbs. SRVG 7/16/01 401 lbs.
