Guest guest Posted September 27, 2004 Report Share Posted September 27, 2004 you should talk to your surgeon about potential risks... my surgeon stated that 1 in 9 will have some sort of permanent numbness from the surgery.... however, i had all my feeling back within 3.5 months... results vary from person to person.. personally, i would not have done my surgery knowing what i know know... i only had a mild case of overjet (5mm), which required lower jaw advancement.. i actually think i looked better BEFORE the surgery... again, everyone's situation is different..it's best to discuss your situation with your surgeon.. good luck! > I am trying to make the decision of having this surgery done.
