Guest guest
Hi there, My mother-in-law had sleep apnea, which is the periods of no breathing during sleep... I'm not sure she had rapid breathing though or if what she had was considered Cheyne-Stoke respiration. I think her breathing was fine when she was awake. Bill, what do your doctors say about this symptom? Maybe you could ask if they think you need to use a CPAP or Bi-Pap breathing device during sleep. It must be really distressing to be worried about going to sleep. Hugs, Pam Cheyne-Stoke Bill: Pam would be the one that will be able to tell you about this. Her mother in law had this. I'm sure she's be sending or posting lots about it. Right now this is all I could find on it. Cheyne-Stoke respiration An abnormal breathing pattern in which there are periods of rapid breathing alternating with periods of no breathing or slow breathing.
