Guest guest
Hi there, I dont know if it is just me but I think my mouth opening has become smaller after jaw surgery. This seems quite odd as I had my upper and lower jaw moved forward not backwards. In addition to having a smaller mouth opening I also think my lips have become thinner. I was wondering if there is any device or appliance out there that would stretch my mouth open. I could use when I go to bed or something. Thanks. Guest guest
Talk with your doc about this before you start trying to stretch. Yes, there is at least one device (Therabite) and some docs use tongue depressors, but don't try without your surgeon's approval. It is not unusuall for people who've been wired shut to have problems opening widely.
