Guest guest
our dear Rosemary: Your doc... well, let's see... An infection can become evident MONTHS after a surgery. If I asked on grad list, Who has had a hidden infection weeks, months after surgery? the arms waving in the air would be legion. So, you are having good intuition. Stay with it. You MUST get to a DR. Is there an ER closer to you than the doc-- that you can get to? An infection is nothing to mess around with; it can take hold in other parts of the body an d become devastating. Also, since part of your cleansing system was removed (lymph nodes in your arm) you are stil not healed up yet. Did you get the lymph node reprt? This is important for you to get since you signed up for brachio, not lymph node removal as I understood you to say. Please let us know how you are. And keep posting to us your progress. hang in there; are you taking antibiotics now since surgery? love, ceep In a message dated 2/18/03 3:50:37 AM, Graduate-OSSG writes: << the doctor is in Great Neck, he said it sounds like an infection, but he doesn't see after all this time why it would start now. He said they didn't look good, but this arm is swollen and I cannot lift it very well. >>
