Guest guest
Dear brave souls I dont know if this is appropriate to post here, if it is not, please forgive... I thought I would just mention the prayer I pray three times a day, in addition to my other prayers, such as the prayer of St. Francis " Oh Lord, make me an instrument of Thy peace... " . I pray Angelus three times day. (it's in my blood as you know...) Here is the prayer. It is short in a Latina long kind of way: I ask God to fill in any words I am missing... any thoughts I cannot bear to think, and to include any persons who have need ... Into the world in the name of our troops and all innocents here and also over there, I pray that you send precious angels bearing a cloud to enwrap all the innocent people, to hide them, to comfort and steady them. Let them all be kept safe from harm's way. Please give each one sharpened insight and sharpened insticts to survive this day and this night. Protect their ears from the sounds. Protect their eyes from the sights. Protect their hearts from paralyzing fear. Hold them. Hold them and comfort them. And if they cannot be kept completely safe, then I ask from my heart and soul that they be wrapped in the strong arms of your healing angels, and that they be helped to recover from the many kinds of wounds a human can suffer, including abject lonliness, agony, horror, and loss. I ask that heaven's perfect touch help them to heal fully, and that their knowledge that unruined love still exists in this world, remain intact. And, if it is meant to be that their time is now, then I ask from my deepest heart and soul that you send your legions of special strong-winged arch-angels to help their spirits and souls be lifted quickly out of their bodies at the moment of death-- so that they can feel no pain, so that they only know the sudden joy of reunion with the God of Perfect Love. I ask for this on this day, in the name of everything in every soul on earth that is good. This is from me, your completely imperfect servant, who in this lifetime is still without wings, but who knows the power of those who have them. Amen. Thank you for the prayers...but please direct your efforts to those in greater need. Love, Jac >>
