Good morning all!

First let's start with the history. Back in December I spent 4 days in the

hospital with no diagnosis. I had horrendous stomach pain that reached all

the way around my back. This went on for 12 days, on and off. No

consistency as to what triggered the pain. When on day 13 I could no longer

hold down tea ( a Sunday morning of course) we headed to the ER. I was

ultrasounded (still have GB - no trouble there), lower body x-ray looking

for obstructions (no), then admitted. Monday I had a scope (nothing),

Tuesday I had a catscan (nothing). Wednesday they fed me twice (I was on IV

since Sunday). No pain - OK - go home.

This past Friday I started to have similar pain. This time the pain was

accompanied by violent diarreah (not violent in frequency, just in output)

(sp?). It wasn't constant - but every time I had to go it was pure liquid.

Still is. The pain is gone for now (thank goodness for the heating pad).

There is a stomach virus going around - could that be what this is? As I no

longer have a " functioning stomach " (stomach acid and so on) could a virus

manifest itself in the intestines and show up this way?

Sorry to be so gross - hope you all are done breakfast. I have been

sticking to mostly shakes, water and decaf tea since Saturday. Trying to

stay hydrated.

Thanks in advance for any opinions. I know - call your doc - my surgeon is

retired and they no longer do WLS at the hospital where I had my surgery. I

can go to University of PA - but will end up in the ER, and as I really feel

pretty good I am trying to avoid this step.
