Guest guest
, your body is saying.... I need to rest. So, do it. You just had major surgery and your body will be sending all sorts of messages. Take a walk every couple hours then another nap. Your body can heal when you are resting and sleeping. For bout 10 days, I was sleeping alot. It's ok. Drink and walk when you can It will change over time and you won't need that nap at all eventually. home from hospital and need help I had the surgery on Monday (2/16) and came home on Wednesday. I've slowly been getting better. Then today when I woke up (day 6 post-op) I am soooooo tired. I'm trying to get up and get my movement in and my food, but I could seriously sleep all day. At first I attributed this to the surgery, but now I am wondering if I have a bug that has been going through my house that left my DD vomiting and DH with diareah. I too have diareah. Not vomiting though. Just profound tiredness. So I'm wondering from the other post-ops How long before you were feeling better? and Did you have days that you seemed to go backwards in recovery? Is anything I described familiar? TIA F _____

Guest guest
This is all too familiar...i was exhausted, but I slept when I felt I needed to sleep...thank goodness for PBS for my 4 year old, it kept him occupied while he would lay down next to me...my suggestion is sleep when you feel you need to...but when you are awake make sure you are walking and getting your fluids in...around three weeks out i started the sublingual b-12 and felt a hundred percent better...hang in there, and listen to your body!
