Guest guest
, Dr. nelson is/ was my ortho. he consults with my oral surgeon and adjusts my splint. He didn't agree with my surgery. I do have to pay out of pocket when I see him. They don't take insurance. I had a bilateral arthroscopy with suture plication of my miniscus. Then I had bilateral arthrocentisis. Lari wrote: Lari, I read you were in Austin. Have you had your surgery yet? What kind of surgery are you having or had? I also read that Dr. wouldn't do the surgery since he didn't think you needed it. Is it considered medically necessary by your insurance or are you paying it out of pocket? I can't imagine a Dr. saying no to a medically necessary surgery. I am having surgery Nov. 17 with Dr. Widener in Austin @ St. 's.

Guest guest
Are you happy you did the surgery? It sounds like your surgery was for function, but was it for function or aesthetics? Where did you have your surgery? Sorry so many question. Surgery date is getting closer and I'm getting very nervous. Thanks, > > Lari, > > I read you were in Austin. Have you had your surgery yet? Guest guest
My surgery was at St. 's for function. I am not glad I did the surgery as I have had increased arthritis and inflamation since. I relapsed and now they want to do another surgery that involves reshaping my condyles so my meniscus can have more space to reside. It will invole wiring my jaw shut for 2 weeks atleast. I just do not know if I am willing to take the chance on more arthritis and inflamation. Lari wrote: Are you happy you did the surgery?
