Now, Jerry (MSA) gets his shot at the doctor just so they know he has had one and if there are complications they have the record of the visit and what was done. My son and I also get one and the young man who helps us gets one as well in hopes of not bringing the flu into our home. I know it would be very difficult for Jerry to survive a bout with the flu. Guess my message is: check with the doctor and make sure he/she knows you are getting the shot or let him advise against it if need be. If you don't get one because you can't tolerate it then let other family members (if they can tolerate the shot)consider getting one so they are less likely to expose you to the flu.
