LeForte I - 3 piece -- tooth not as white as others

To anyone who had this done:

I know that to do a LeForte I 3 piece, they cut your upper jaw into

three pieces. How often does a tooth's root get hurt in the

process? It looks like my upper left lateral incisor is not as

white as the others.
