Guest guest
Dear Colette, I have read the postings from the group about what to do with the urinary incontinence, and everyone had great input. My husband does not have this problem...yet. Who knows, down the road? But, one thing that struck me was your mom is feeling very overwhelmed with all of this. It is difficult to be a caregiver, and your mom is going to need help. You mentioned that your dad is going downhill. Have you ever considered hospice? Some people have a misconception that you have to be imminently and terminally ill to qualify for hospice. But you don't have to be imminently ill. As long as they can document steady deterioration of your dad's condition, hospice can come in and help out. It would give your mom the break she needs, and a feeling of security knowing that she can call on someone to assist her. Just a thought..... Regards, M.
