**** actually, it's not. It's worse. You see, calcium carbonate must be in

contact with stomach acid for 1 hour before it can be absorbed at all. Since

yours goes immediately to gut, it doesn't have any time to sit and stew in

stomach acid. And the carbonate makes kidney stones. Calcium citrate is

recommended for all people with low stomach acid levels (elderly, people on

Protonix, Prilosec, Zantac, Nexium, etc.)

****Twin Labs makes a chewable that is tasty. Orange sweetart flavor, kinda.

Not near as much sugar as Viactiv. I think I saw a caramelly calcium citrate in

Trader Joes. I use Vitalady.com's Super Calcium, which can be pulled apart

(capsules), and dumped into protein drinks or other drinks. No taste.
