Guest guest
Hello Everyone I belong to other groups but it never occured to me to look for a gastric bypass group until tonight. I wish I had done so before surgery; I may not have waited 2 years to commit. I had laproscopic RNY December 10, 2003. Even though my pre-op BMI was only 37, I was quickly approved by insurance due to so many co- morbidities. I have lost 43 lbs and am having very few problems. The best part is all the medications I have been able to discontinue (I was taking 21 rx pills a day and spending $280/mo in rx copays alone). I am really excited that I have been 8 days without ANY insulin with normal blood sugar numbers. It looks like Ill be up a few more hours just reading up on what this group has offered.
