Guest guest
Hi all, I finally got through to Tony last night via telephone and got an update on Anne. She is not doing well and still has not heard about a possible back operation. She was out with (her oldest daughter) at that time (noonish their time). I will try to call her again early next week as I have to attend my engineering society annual awards dinner, meeting and training session and leave this afternoon. I will probably not check my email until Monday evening as I leave for work soon. If I get through to her next week, I will tell her that we are all thinking about her and praying for her. For those of you who do not remember her, she was diagnosed as Shy-Drager Syndrome about 24 years ago and has put up a valiant fight. It is most likely that she actually has PAF as she has few symptoms of anything but autonomic failure. It has affected her stomach and every other autonomic function to the point that about a year ago they gave her a stomach pacemaker. She is still working on a higher college degree and got her degree in counseling about 3 years ago (almost 20 years after being given a year to live). Her BP has been measured at times as low as 30/0. When I was there in May, she still danced with her grandkids. We have been friends for three years and I am proud to know her and her husband Tony. She also has two great daughters (who I also met while there) and Lorraine who live nearby. Hope you all have a great weekend. Take care, Bill Werre
