Hi lou,

With reference to your question:

patient being really hateful and verbally hurtful for short periods of

time. Also, the patient grabbing hold of you and having to force them to

let go by prying their hands loose. This was a constant question on the

PSP list and two things Jerry never did. I am trying to sort out the

differances.}

Jeff will get this way when he has fever or infection. I can always tell

if he has a UTI, or any type of infection or illness going on because he

gets EXTREMELY nasty, and then when it's over he doesn't remember it at

all. He feels really bad about it. The hardest part for me is that I

always wonder if he's speaking his true heart when he goes off like that.

I do know that other caregivers have mentioned this as a problem and most

of the time in conjunction with infection.
