Well it's been a couple weeks since I've posted on here. I'm at 5.5

weeks post op right now. With school and work....I'm not left with

much free time! But my splint is off and I can talk and

eat...woohoo!!! It feels great. Everything I had to go through has

definetly paid off. I didn't think this day would ever come...but

it's here. I have a great smile now and a perfect bite. Of course

I'm still getting used to my new bite...which will take some time.

But things are progressing very nicely. I still have a little bit

of swelling under my eyes and my upper cheeks. And my lower right

lip and the right part of my chin are still numb. But the rest of

my face has feeling back to it. Oh...and my gums are still

numb...but that's no big deal for me. But I really have no

complaints. I'm curious though...did most people have to get a

couple incisions on their cheeks?? I talked to a girl who had the

surgery done and she didn't have to have any incisions on her

face...and she had upper and lower jaw surgery. The reason I ask is

that I'm wondering if anyone has scars from the incisions. My left

one healed up pretty well...but the right one is pretty noticable.

I know they make stuff to put on scars that does something to them

so that they aren't as noticable. But it feels great to be at the

point I'm at!!!
