Hello group,

I have been in lurk mode forever, I had a SRVG in November of 1999, lost almost

200 pounds. I have recently found out after having a UGI and a scope done that

I have a large staple line disruption and severe reflux up past the trachea with

a large hiatal hernia. My surgeon wants to do a revision to a RNY (I have

gained nearly 40 pounds) and repair the hernia. I would like to know from

those of you that had revisions after a VBG/SRVG, what the recovery was like and

if there was any additional problems. I am scared but I DO NOT want to go back

to where I was either. I have never regretted having WLS, it was the best thing

I ever did for myself. I have considered the Fobi procedure, a medial RNY, and

the DS also. If anyone has any advice or input it would be greatly appreciated.

This is a great group, I always enjoy reading the posts.

Thanks,

Ronda, IL
