Guest guest
Shelly, I thought maybe my problem with my heels (which is exactly what you described) was from being barefoot. However since the onset of Diabetes 7 years ago, I have worn shoes and socks since. If I'm very attentive to them, putting special foot creams on them twice a day, they do much better, but are still very cracked, however not bleeding and not hurting. I'm hoping I have the same experience as you and they are better once more weight is lost. The only thing against me is I remember them cracking and bleeding when I was a very thin teenager....but again was barefoot as much as I could get away with it. How exciting for you to be able to wear heels!!! Joan LAP RNY 11/18/03 Dr. Higa, Fresno, CA 282pre-op/275surg/240/
