1 Day Post-Op and doing great!!!

Hey guys! Just checking in with my status. The sugery was a huge

success. There was very little bleeding, my nerve was huge so I have

almost no numbness at all. I also have very little visible swelling -

it's pretty tight on the inside, but not all that noticable if you

look at me.

Some things I didn't expect coming out of the surgery:

The pain! Oh my it hurt so bad! Found out I'm allergic to Morphine

and Demerol, so I was without any kind of good painkillers until well

into the afternoon.

The stomach tube was still in my nose when I woke up. He told me it

would be there, but again, I didn't really expect it to hurt like it

did. It was awful.

The hospital staff having trouble with my diet.. Even though it said

liquid only, lactose free - I still ended up with things like jello,

oatmeal, milk, pudding and cream of mushroom soup. Heh.

Overall it wasn't that bad, and I think my surgeon is right, I'm

feeling awesome right now, and I think I'll be ready for work as soon

as next Wed.

Kim! I hope yours went as well as mine!!! (With the exception of all

the pain I was yesterday. All I could think was that I hope you

weren't going through the same thing!)
