As for the promotion -- I would imagine that you do your job well, and I would imagine that you are assuming a sort of more relaxed, at ease with yourself attitude that gives other folks around you a good feeling, too! My ortho and surgeon would like to take the credit for it all, but between you and me, they were going to happen eventually anyway. I'm still working on the big lottery - haven't heard of surgery influencing that, but one can always hope, right? So you're saying it's a compliment to say you have a big mouth? Go figure.
