Guest guest
I assume Jean intended this for public consumption, given her last line, " ...I don't recall Eucerin mentioned here... " (see below for more) -=-=-= > LUXIVA® Delicate Balance > > Lightweight, oil-free moisturizer specifically formulated for > sensitive skin. Marine-derived extracts help soothe and calm skin, > while plant-derived ceramides and special anti-irritants help reduce > redness and skin sensitivity. Safe for rosacea... Yup -- that's it. I didn't ask price. (MN line cosmetics are a bit pricey, but no more than many others). My store (in DE) had just gotten this product in, so for the person who tried to get it and it wasn't yet available, it should be very soon. As far as moisturizers go, I've also done VERY well with Eucerin face protective moisturizer (spf 25). It's cheaper, available in WalMart, etc. It's a bit heavier under makeup, which is why I'm using the Supercity 25.. I was wearing the Eucerin Face on July 4 when heat index was over 100 and I never got red. It feels like a layer of protection that stops my skin from reacting.. I don't recall seeing the Eucerin mentioned here although I don't always check posts often.. -=-=-= Jean, for a number of reasons I avoid chemical sunscreens, such as those used in Eucerin products. I don't recall much about Eucerin discussed here either. You're right, it is a cheap, well regarded product. Here's a site with some info on Eucerin (and Aquafor) -- ingredients and promotional material: http://www.eucerinus.com/skincare/skincare.html Aside from the sunscreens it looks OK, but most products include lanolin alcohol. I know lanolin is a common allergen, but I don't know anything about lanolin alcohol beyond what www.cosmeticcop.com says about it being less allergenic than straight lanolin. I also see a number of potential sensitizing agents, and am concerned about clogged pores. Barry, do you have information on Eucerin and Aquaphor? Are you (or anyone) aware of other water-based petroleum-type products of this type that we should be considering as protective barriers?
