Guest guest
Wow that sounds really interesting, being 4,5 months post-op myself, the widest I am able to open is 2 fingers wide. It's however the same range as before the surgery, so I don't really have the feeling I am missing out on something. However if there is a possibility to make the opening a bit wider, why not! Those muscles, are those way in the back of your mouth, near your molars (from your lower molars moving up to your upper molars?) And what exactly do you have to do? Guest guest
Hey Nathalie, I am in no way giving you advice on how to do this, but nonetheless, i will tell you what i am doing. I will tell you also, that for me at least, it was important to have the chiropractor do it first so that i could tell and feel exactly where he was and how much pressure he was applying. basically i find the muscles by going along my upper gums to back of mouth or right under upper teeth to muscle between upper and lower teeth and i press on the muscle in a pulsating fashion 18-20 times, 2x a day. they are sore after only a few days of working on them, but as i said i can open further and i have no more pain in my ears nor does it hurt as much when i yawn. that is a BIG plus. If you continue to have any pain or discomfort similar to mine, seek help. My OS was not the helpful one here, the chiro was.
