Guest guest
I'd suspect you'll be fine for travel by three weeks post op. If not, you'll know it, and can change your plans. Just don't get traumatized if you have swelling, bruising, etc., immediately post op. It subsides, honest! Do you know that you will be either wired shut or tightly banded, post-op? That could make a difference for you. Cammie > I am scheduled to have surgery on October 7, 2004. Guest guest
Dunno what you're having done -- yes, I haven't been very active here for the last two weeks. But staying in a motel with a kitchenette, unless you have someone else there with you, may not serve your needs. You may not feel like cooking -- and the nutrition is important. The motel may not have a blender (take your own, and a pyrex cup, and pray for a microwave, although I reckon you could dump anything blended into a saucepan on a regular stove and heat it gently). Best suggestion: get some kind of caretaker, friend, lover, student or nurses' aide to stay with you at least the first couple of days. I did have an easy time, and wasn't banded, but I surely was glad my sweet husband was here with me, just in case!
