New date and renewed hope (some questions)

Hi all ~ maybe some of you remember me?!?=) I was a regular on here

a couple months ago before my surgery got postponed. I am having

upper and lower on a class III underbite/openbite, and my original

surgery date was Sept. 15th. At the beg. of Sept. I was told by my

ortho that he wanted to postpone it=( I was devastated! My whole

life was (and still is) on hold for this surgery. I was completely

discouraged and I hadn't been back to this site since. Now that my

new date (Feb. 16th) is slowly coming up I'm starting to get excited

again and want to read up on everything since I forget so much! I'm

starting to get a bit panicky and back in August this was a great

place to calm my nerves since everyone is so helpful.

A couple questions:

1. has anyone had an expansion of the upper palate? What does it

involve exaclty ~ and how torturous is it??!

2. has anyone had surgery on their nose at the same time as their

jaw surgery? (ie septoplasty, nasal surgery to improve their

breathing)
