Guest guest
to : My nose didn't bleed, just I kept vomiting up blood and had an NG tube in for 2 days to remove any that was still in my stomach. It finally stopped coming up after the 2 days, but in the meantime, they were giving me antinausea drugs around the clock to keep me from vomitting. Yuck! I had a lot of dried blood around me nose and in my nostrils that I slowly got rid of by picking it off. It didn't make it bleed though. What does your doctor say about getting the guaze out of your nose? Luckily I didn't have any black eyes, but a lot of swelling in my cheeks, that is still there, but slowly is going down. The splint is uncomfortable in my mouth, and makes it difficult to eat off a spoon, but I am learning to get around it. I was able to finally close my lips last tuesday, which was 8 days post op. I am able to close my lips all the way now, at almost 2 weeks post op. My upper lips still feel numb, like I sat on them (you know, when you get that pins and needles sensation) and it is annoying. My nose still runs (not blood, though)due to allergies and that I can't blow my nose. I am constantly wiping my nose. You hang tough as well. Lyn > > > Hi ...
