Guest guest
Hi , Sorry I called your daughter . What is here name? If you can, I am sure your daughter would appreciate you spending the night the first night at the hospital. I awoke from surgery at about 3:30 and my husband was supposed to go to work that night. I begged him to stay with me because I was scared, depressed, didn't feel good, was wondering if I did the right thing, and was missing my kids dearly. He stayed as long as he could until he had to go home to be with my kids. Then I slept. But I woke up a lot because it is hard to sleep upright and I always asked the nurses for ice to decrease my swelling. Get a white board or a pad and pencil for her to write as it will be hard for her to talk for the first night at least and maybe longer. The nurses are great, but it always makes you feel better to have someone from home. One of my friends visited me in ICU and I couldn't stop crying. I was so happy to see her! Hang in there . Your baby will do great!
