Guest guest
Happy Birthday B!!!! Have a great day, Glenda: I have had eye involvement. A year ago the lids were swollen along with my nose & then in May of this year I had iritis in which the left eye swelled out of the socket & was red & extremely painful and the pressure was extremely high. Then I had a stroke in that eye which left some permanent damage. I was on drops around the clock every hour for a week then tapered off. I then had conjuntivitis in the right eye in Aug. Then when my ear flared & they discovered the RP in Sept. my right eye developed iritis. I am on Pred Forte eye drops once a day for it & the ophthalmologist said my eyes are dry so I am using artificial tears & it helps. Of course I went to a scrapbooking crop with my daughter over the weekend, 12 hours on SAt. & 6 on Sun & my eyes were real sore, guess too much close work. Since I've been home I have been using the tears & they are better. Hope this sheds a little light on the subject for you. Saw the old rheumy for my last visit today. She said everything looks good. I am feeling better since I am taking it easy. She said the new rheumy is a real gentle man & I should do good with him. If I have any problems I can give her a call. I will be having blood work tomorrow for a med check, then I will call her next week to see where to go on the pred. Will be going down to 40 on Sunday. Hate my fat face right now but oh well, at least I feel good. Susiecue
