Guest guest
Hi Jan, Well, I guess the proper name for this test is the Thermoregulatory Sweat Test, but we call it the Hot Box. Chuck has been to Mayo's five times and had it every time. Dr. Fealey's explanation for the need is that it gives a number that describes how far the autonomic dysfunction is progressing. This may be purely academic, I don't know. It doesn't seem there is anything they can do for all the autonomic dysfunction that occurs, except the orthostatic hypertension. Just explains the symptoms, maybe. Sorry that I don't know more. Barb (Illinois)
