did you read my post carefully?

i stated this surgery is absolutely silly for a person that has a

5mm overjet, which i had...

the guy has a 4mm overjet.... most ppl that are happy with their

surgery have extreme cases (i.e 9mm overjet, open bite, cross bite,

off center jawline, major underbite, gummy smile)...

my choice was silly because i exposed myself to the possibility of

permanent numbness and/or asymmetrical face.. i have no numbness,

but now i have slight asymmetry after the surgery...

now if someone has major bite problems or extreme situations, the

surgery is not silly, but it was in my situation, and i believe it's

even sillier for a guy that has a 4mm overjet....

my opinion is MORE relevant than most here because he's in the same

situation i was in before my surgery.. he's got a slight overjet and

he's doing it for cosmetic reasons...

again, most here have extreme situations and/or have major bite

problems.... this is not his case...

he'll most likely go ahead with the surgery, but at least i warned

him. :-)
