Oh, yes, there are a few of us around. I had no real symptoms except

the ability to eat a lot more than I should have been able to at less

than 6 months out. I knew something wasn't right and, thankfully, my

surgeon was not one of those that blames the patient, and told me to

get an upper GI. Another 6 months and an additional 17 pounds later,

I had a stomach transection, and all has been right with the world

since. :))

You probably don't have to have it repaired, unless you don't mind

the weight regain and possible the return of acid reflux and a host

of other co-morbs that you may be susceptible to. In other words,

eventually, it'll possibly be almost as if you never had WLS. But,

the decision is yours. I know it absolutely just sucks that it

requires another surgery, but it is so worth it.

Good luck,

in NJ

I had acid pain, reflux, nausea, marginal ulcer, just not feeling good.

Could eat a bit more, but not substantially. Ultimately. wt gain. I think

the nausea saved me or the massive protein did, since I had to keep coating

that burning pit. I gained 12# in the 4 months I had to wait.

Gone now. Fixed. 12# gone. I'm me again.
