We had a Navy wives group that made little " Welcome Aboard " gift kits for newborns, and everyone would be VERY busy getting these ready every 9 months after a WestPac cruise ended. (Those ladies crochet their fingers to the bone making blankets, little jackets & hats!) I must be the only military wife in America who is deep-down hoping for enough of a war to put my husband to work. He hasn't had a job in 2 years, but he's in the Army Reserves, so if his unit finally gets called up, we will have full-time Army pay & benefits. Terribly selfish of me, I know. I don't really want war and all that goes with it... ~~ Lyn G 10 years Navy wife 1 year Army Reserve wife (toughtest job in the military)

Guest guest
Lyn, You hit the nail on the head with that last line. I can say, though, that I grew up really fast and learned to do alot for myself. May be one of the biggest reasons that I couldn't stand the thought of getting so big that I became dependent on everyone else to do what I had always done for myself. That was one of the main reasons I had this surgery. To darned independent! Love, Reba in Auburn, AL > ~~ Lyn G > > 10 years Navy wife > 1 year Army Reserve wife > (toughtest job in the military)
