Guest guest
I also suffer from all of the above - a chemical inbalance - and I finally have accepted the fact that I will be on meds for the rest of my life. I am taking Effexor 3 x daily, and Trazadone before bed. These have worked nicely for me. I have tried going off of them, thinking that I did not really 'need' them any longer - but turned into a not very nice person - very hard to live with, argumentive, wanting to be alone (holed up in a dark bedroom, for days at a time), etc. When I went back on my meds again, they kicked right in, and I was back to myself again. My hope is that those of you who are suffering, will find a great therapist, as well as the right meds. Food for thought; Sometimes it is your main physician who knows you best, and can counsel you - usually over a lunch break, or after hours.
