Oil-free products often contain materials that I would regard as " oily " , such as the Trioctyl dodecyl citrate, tricaprylin and octyldecyl neopentanoate listed in the sunscreens. I gather that " oil-free " has become a legal definiton which does not necessarily relate to how the product behaves on the skin.
