Protein Shakes: whey vs soy?

A while back I had seen some posts concerning whey protein vs. soy

protein and I don't recall if a one is better for us or not. I drink

Isopure protein which is a whey protein but the nutritionist in our

group prefers soy for women because of the benefits of estrogens and

the such.

Today I have been drinking an Isopure zero carp pre-prepared protein

drink in he class bottle (blue raspberry) It doesn't taste GREAT but

it is palatable. It just leaves a " residue " feeling in your mouth

after you take a drink. The content is as follows:

1 bottle: 20 0z (good water substitute)

Calories 160

Fat 0

Carb 0

Sugars 0 ( sweetened with sucralose)

Protein 40

Calcium 55mg

Sodium 80 mg

Potassium 45mg

This is usually a drink for after a workout so the sodium and

potassium is good for that.

I usually will do an Isopure Chocolate shake once a day that has 50g

of whey protein (2 scoops to 6-8 oz of water and an equal packet).

This tastes pretty good to me and it has added vitamins and minerals

to boot.

Other than that I eat proteins, fruit and veggies for my meals and

snacks. I have been off carbs and sweets for a little over a week

now and have been pretty good about it. I hope it lasts. I still

need to loose about 60lbs.

Any info on Whey vs. Soy would be appreciated.
