Guest guest
If I may offer a divergent opinion here... None of that was my experience. Matter of fact, my appearance barely changed, which suited me fine. What did change was my bite, and my troubles with TMJD, although there are no guarantees about the TMJD at all, and my periodontic troubles, which led me to braces and the surgery in the first place. I would agree that you should carefully weigh the risks and benefits involved, and that you should make your own decision. I would never push the surgery at anyone. But I think our friend zulu has an opinion that is somewhat atypical, born, I am certain, out of frustration and disappointment, both of which I regret sincerely. This surgery is certainly not essential. You will not die if you do not have it. But for many people it offers benefits that are far from " silly. " Cammie > DO NOT DO THE SURGERY!
