Guest guest
the march 10th issue of people magazine has a short article - I use that term loosely since it is less than 500 words - on the down side of gastric bypass. there are also 4 women highlighted and very very short stories of them. one woman lost her arm to an infection after the surgery, another had sld and several add'l surgeries, one lost too much weight and has osteo [my guess is she did not supplement]. two of the four sued their docs and won huge [in my financial world anyhow] settlements. if anyone is on the big ossg list or obesity help or other sites where pre ops are, it is info worth sharing. not to scare them but for them to realize that they need to research, they need to supplement and they need to know the facts before viewing this procedure as a miracle. sue
