Chin implant and Genioplasty

My surgery is tomorrow and it will be moveing lower jaw forward

only. Currently, I have chin implant. My surgeon told me today

that he might do genioplasty also. I read on the internet one time

said to perform genioplasty, you have to remove chin implant to let

your chin bone heal first. Did anyone have chin implant then got

genioplasty?
