Guest guest
Ronit.......I did have this happen a couple of times on my bloodwork....I figured it was the Vioxx I was taking. I went off of it and the next blood work was fine. I am getting it taken again in a couple of weeks so that will be the test!! Are you taking any kind of NSAID's like that? P. Guest guest
Hi Ronit, My liver enzymes have always been slightly elevated since surgery almost three years ago but the other night they spiked greatly also nearly 20 X's normal and I ended up in the emergency room. I was dehydrated and given an IV with saline and felt much better. I just now got home from my doctor and she has scheduled me an appt for an ultrasound Thursday and an appt with the GI specialist on Friday. She and the emergency room doctor mentioned a gall stone. I had my gall bladder out many years ago but they said you can still get a stone however I told them this pain was nothing like the gall stone attacks I had years back. Some people have said that milk thistle in mega doses can help this and that is fine but first I want to be sure there isn't something wrong before starting something I don't know much about. My kidney tests were also a bit off which could be causing the dehydration even though I daily drink 50-100 oz of water. My dr took a urine specimen today to check that too. So, right now it is up in the air and I will post back here when I have some answers. Oh, they also checked my pancreas and it was fine. I am beginning to wonder of all my clammy wet feeling I often have has something to do with whatever is wrong rather than the hot flashes I believed it to be though. We have already won when we believe it in our hearts.
