Guest guest
Well I've gotten a few requests to post what I've done to the group (I'm the one that had to start using blush again, cause I looked like a ghost), so here goes: I have undergone probably about 8-9 photoderm treatments in the past 18 months. That is the one major thing that has cleared my rosacea, but my nose is very stubborn, and still quite red, but my cheeks, forehead and chin are completely cleared. I tried numerous regimes after the photoderm, because I didn't want anything progressing again. Finally I have found something that works and this is what I do. In the morning, rinse face with cool water, and then apply the tan rosacea-ltd disc to my entire face, but mainly concentrating on my nose. Let face air dry, and do rest of morning routine (eat breakfast, get dressed, etc.) Afte 30 minutes I brush off lightly any remaining residue from the disc and then apply zinco. (I mix the tinted and untinted). Apply powder, eye makeup, blush and lipstick. In the evening, I wash face with cool water and oil of olay sensitive skin cleansing cloths. I then apply the white ltd disc, and off to bed. You may all be noticing I do not apply any moisturizer, but I find that I really don't need it. My face is not dry at all (at least right now during the summer, I might need to adjust a little when winter hits). Maybe the zinco is providing me with some moisture. My face is continually improving, and sometimes on the weekend I don't apply make-up until later in the day, so that the ltd disc can sink in for longer. Well, my husband is just shocked at how good my face looks, even without makeup, so things are looking up. I drink tons of water, I quit counting, but I drink well over 8 glasses a day, probably more like 12-15. I do my best to stay cool, even though our a/c is broke right now at work, but I brought a fan in, and it's not too bad. I try not to touch my face, and stay out of the sun when I can. (I'm pretty active though, so I just make sure if I'm out for too long to reapply zinco) Other than that, nothing much has changed, I do my best to eat healthy, but I have been known to be seen at Mcs occasionally, or in the ice-cream aisle of the grocery store. There really are no foods that I avoid completely, I even eat spicy foods sometimes. My caffeine intake is very limited. I might have one cup of coffee and one chocolate bar per month. Good news is that rosacea-ltd is safe during pregnancy, and since I recently found out I was expecting I don't have to change anything I'm doing. Who knows, maybe all the hormones are helping my face too. _________________________________________________________________ Join the world’s largest e-mail service with MSN Hotmail. http://www.hotmail.com
