Guest guest
HI all, so it's me...and today is post-op 8 wks. All is well, however....I'm on antibiotics bec I may have an infection in the left side of my face... it seems though according to the OS, that the swelling and what not is more than likely due to overdoing it...so very me. he suggested that I cut back my hours at work, which I can't...so I may ask to work from home a few days a week to get through this ok, my biggest concern is doing any disservice to my face and ruin all this hard work, pain and effort...that's my biggest fear with all of this...and I fear I may be messing me up! My OS is a gentle soul, but he was heated up...like I know you have a lot of pressure and stress but responsibilites aside for now, this is your priority, they (bosses) are not going to like it when the swelling doesn't go down and i have to put you back into the hosp for a week to remove the plates...(not a plan since they are titanium and knowing my head if they move them out...the old jaw line/teeth placement will find a way back to mess me up.--always been my situation, so I really, really do not want them out) I know he was trying to make an impact on me, bec I carry a lot on these shoulders, but wow. I tend to agree with him about the use-bec when I would agrue with someone or cry (which usually I am not a yeller or cryer-but life had had a few curve balls these past weeks) the slightly tingly areas would get funny feeling, like stiff kinda or more pinchy...and when I calmed, so did it a little, but then it stopped chilling all the way and it always feels at best like when I woke up a little puofy and tingly. you can't nec tell by looking at me either-but he and I knew and so did my fiance when I asked him to " look " at me. anyone else have this challenge and how did you get through it? I could use some inspiration and information.... I really am not looking forward to having this talk with the bosses....not at all. jo
