Guest guest
Hi , I'm sorry you had such a bad experience at the ER of the Cleveland Institute. I think it would be accurate to say that most of us in the " family " have stories about incompetent doctors, nurses and even administrators. I believe this is magnified for the MSA patients because 1. The condition is so rare and so hard to understand that an ER staff may just not be aware of the challenges and 2. We end up in hospitals and ER's more often than most people, so the odds of getting a " bad dose " is higher than normal. FORTUNATELY, these experiences are usually the exception rather than the norm, and for every bad experience, you will probably end up with 5 stories of good, and sometimes even heroic experiences. Bottom line though, don't put up with it. Contact patient relations or the patient advocate office of the hospital, and if you can't get better service, go somewhere else. On CRAPPERS - whatever we call it, I sure wish MSA patients could DO it! Best wishes, PS- It seems we have a few new contributors to the group. We might want to go over the procedure of posting replies, as the past few digests have had entire previous digests pasted in, and it makes for long and confusing reading. Also someone mentioned the volume of emails kept them from staying with the group. We may also want to post the instructions for getting the emails in digest format. It sure saves me a bunch of time!
