Guest guest
Well, after a six month break in weight loss, I have lost 15 pounds since Dr. Simonowitz took my gallbladder out a few weeks ago. There is no rhyme or reason why, my eating patterns have not changed, but something shocked my metabolism into submission. I actually think that the fact that I had to go back to simple carbs in the week prior.. and then went back to mostly protein afterward surprised my body (I know it surprised my MIND how much I loved those carbs!)I was away for the weekend at dog shows (a BIG bust for us this weekend, but we had fun...) and hopped on the scale this evening when I got home... TA-DA! I am now down 100.5 pounds, 14 months after surgery. My weight loss has been slower than some due to restrictions in my exercise ability secondary to lung disease (not related at all to weight or WLS)... but I am grateful for every pound I lose. .. my severe diabetes, high blood pressure.. and many other co-morbs are GONE... Now I hope that I can just keep this up for another 50 pounds or so and I will be even happier! Deb
