Guest guest
Hi Vera, Thank you once again for the laughter! You're sure that your Fred isn't related to my Al?? Has he got any Fijian blood in him? Al's a fun loving half caste Fijian whom I married 24 years ago - however this disease isn't funny and it certainly does cause a lot more problems than any of us have ever bargined for. Al has always been a caring kind hearted loving soul - unless of course if anything should upset him then the smouldering Volcano would erupt!!! At times he can be worse than a " pit bull terrier " so set in his ways (that's the warrior blood in him). But then the softer side of Al shows up again and life is back to normal for a short while. He tried once again just a short while ago when he felt everything was too much - strange how they take it out on the ones they love so dearly! Anyway this time he couldn't get the car keys back from me and I was proving to be just as tough in a softer way. He thought he had it all planned - " I'm moving out " he said one evening. " Oh, where are you going " ? I replied. " I'm moving into a boarding house " he gruffed back at me. " How are you going to get there " I asked. " I'm getting a taxi (cab) " he snorted back " and you can keep everything, but I'm taking one of the bookcases with me " ! he stated. By now his dander was really up so I was very careful in how and what I said to my very distraught husband. We have nine very large 6' x 6' x 1' deep extremely heavy book cases in the house. " How are you going to take the bookcase with you " ? I asked very patiently. " I'll make it fit, but I'm taking it with me tonight " ! he stormed at me. I then spoke slowly to my husband " anyway they won't take you in at the boarding house you have to be physically fit and mobile " - I then quietly retreated. Next morning my darling husband was back to normal and life has continued. We can laugh about it now even though we are both puzzled as to how it started in the first place. Vera I can't wait for the " electric wheel chair " ! Thanks for giving me the tips on how to disengaged the monster!! Thanks for the laughter - Gidday Fred!
