Guest guest
I feel kind of silly for having to ask. I have been on this site long enough that I probably should know the answer to this question. However, I don't. I recently got copies of my blood work back. They were suppose to check my liver enzymes because I am on lipitor. What do I need to be looking at for the liver enzymes? The good news is that the lipitor is obviously working because my cholesterol has gone from 234 to 168 since the end of August. In fact, my LDL's were 169 in August and my total cholesterol is less then that. I am, however, a little worried because I have been having a kind of pain, burning sensation on my left side. I am going to one of my physicians on Monday armed with my lab work. He has my labs for about 2 years prior to the August blood work. (I can get blood work done free now through the Indian tribal clinic.) I just don't want to set here and worry all weekend. Lori Owen - Denton, Texas CHF 4/14/01 479 lbs. SRVG 7/16/01 401 lbs. Keep going with your instincts and looking after yourself. I am new to this myself, so I can't advise you to decrease (and I'm not an MD). If you do decrease, taper gradually, and if I were you, I'd keep getting blood work done at least every 4 weeks (by your friend if necessary). TSH can lag behind for weeks, months, or years, so I wouldn't be too worried about that. I hear that keeping FT3 and FT4 within normal range and at an optimal level for you (where you feel best) would be the key.
