Guest guest
I just got home from the hospital from my second upper/lower surgery in less than 6 weeks, and I'm pleased to report that everything went wonderfully. The surgery took a little longer than expected because my bones had already fused more than they'd anticipated, which caused them to have exert more effort in recutting my jaws. The swelling is more symmetrical and actually not as prevalent as the previous surgery, and my speech is not terribly impaired. I slept a WHOLE lot includng almost the whole time I was in recovery. My nausea was well under control, which was nice, and the congestion as almost nil this go-round. I ate quite a bit while in the hosptal to help ensure a short stay, and all of my doctors are happy that we decided to go along with this. took a couple of pictures, so I'll try to post them when I get a chance. I don't feel too badly, just a little groggy. I used my Morphine pump a little more liberally this time, so I slept a LOT while in the hospital. I'm glad to have this all behind me. I'm done with surgeries and hospitals for a while!
