Braces update ... and weight/surgery question

I posted a month or so ago about how fast my teeth were moving in the

braces. My two front teeth, which were tilted back quite a bit, were

lined up straight in less than two months. I went in for my first

adjustment last week, and my ortho didn't seem too excited about it.

But today I saw my dentist and he and the tech were blown away. So I

guess my teeth have moved unusually fast. I'm amazed -- and now I know

why I was in so much pain the first 11 days.

I'll be having lower advancement about a year from now, and Maddie's

post about her surgery and being moved to a gurney has me thinking.

Are there difficulties involved for big folks in surgery? By big, I

mean 250+ pounds. I don't want to hear from the fat-haters out there

-- I mean, I'd love to drop a hundred pounds by next year, but it

probably ain't gonna happen -- but if you have any actual knowledge or

experience about challenges I might face due to my size, I'd like to know.
