Guest guest
hello all i am Tim, 34 married male...and one week ago at this time, i was having my SARPE done. You prob all know, but for those who dont, that stands for Surgically Assisted Rapid Pallete Enhancement. The OS make a few cuts in the upper pallete , thru the nose, etc. All fun stuff we come to love and enjoy, lol. The 1st couple days were not the greatest. I was like, what did i do to myself. Then by the 3rd full day home, i was starting to mentally feel better. The crappy Anesthesia was prob all worn off, and i was starting to feel normal, mentally that is. Physcially, right now, im not bad. Still a little swollen in the upper lip and mouth region, and still a little tight, cant really do a full smile or open my mouth wide yet, but hey i had some major surgery a week ago, it will take some time. i am eating soft foods, like shepards pie, soups, fish, mashed pot, butternut squash, blended some apples and made my own apple sauce. the OS starting turning the Expander device on Saturday, and will do it almost everyday for a week, and then they will bond it in its final place and leave it in for a few months. Then they will take it out and i will have a weird bite cause i have a recessed lower jaw which will need advancement in 6-9 months. But, im not pondering on that right now. Recover from this 1st.
